Time is fleeting,
Close computer,
Flee the office,
Night is coming!

Unload, Pump, Click-In, Pedal,
Feel the rhythm,
Smell the air,
Pant, Pant, muscles cold and stiff.

Dogs, people, lizards, squirrels,
Rocks, trees, dirt, vines,
Part of Nature, All,
Rolling into twilight.

The Climb of Life,
Steep, loose, relentless,
Hot, sweaty, dusty,
Pant, Pant, muscles warm and loose.

Night is falling, Time to roll,
Down the hill, across roots,
Over rocks, Under trees,
By the light,
Of the waxing moon.

Feel the rhythm,
Smell the air,
Pant, Pant, muscles warm and sated,
The ride is done
